Pulpeira’s hands
Galicia in the 1950s. A land and time of poverty, ruled by men. It’s lunch time at the pilgrimage site. The pulpeiras cut and sell octopus at a good pace. Concha has a problem, and she is alone; her husband is out. With the help of her colleagues, the damage is lessened. Concha needs to know the cause. This can’t happen again.

Silvia Cachafeiro (Pontevedra, Spain, 1983)
Silvia studied film directing at Bande à Part in Barcelona, where she received the end-of-degree award for her work as a student. The result is the short film “Dans le noir” (2017), which was selected, amongst other festivals, in the San Joan d'Alacant Film Festival (pre-selection for the Goya). She won the Audience Award at the well-known MECAL international film festival. In 2024, Silvia shot the short film “As Maos da Pulpeira” with Matriuska Productions.
