Eeyou (Cree) artist Lindsay Chewanish is from the community of Chisasibi, located in Eeyou Istchee, in the Nord-du-Québec region. Her artistic career has been shaped by a wealth of experiences, having grown up in several places, notably southern Quebec, before returning to her ancestral land eight years ago. This trajectory has had a huge influence on her work, which draws on her cultural roots and her view of the world around her.
