A magic-realistic documentary that follows the 14-year old contortionist Fanta in Guinea Conakry. Fanta juggles between the care for her ailing mother, school and what she loves the most; training as one of the only girls within an acrobatic group, with the hopes of joining their next big tour. Trying to bridge all expectations, Fanta starts to doubt what she really wants.

Marjolijn Prins (1987, The Netherlands) is a documentary filmmaker with a background in arts. She graduated in 2016 Cum Laude for her masters’ degree at the Ritcs in Brussels. Her graduation film MUM, ME AND THE HOUSE (Marjolijn Prins, 2016) won several awards a.o. the jury award at the Oscar qualifying London International Documentary Festival. She co-directed 2 seasons of the web series HAIRY HEROES ( 2020/2021) and the short documentary PAPER BORDERS (2022).
